21 years on, double life term for Jammu terror attack that killed baby, 2 others

A principal sessions court in Ramban has sentenced a man to two life terms for a terror attack in Jammu that killed a baby and two others, more than two decades after the incident.
In his order on Wednesday, principal sessions judge Ramban Ajay Kumar Gupta rejected defence arguments that the attack took place over 21 years ago, when Sharief was young. The defence also cited his long incarceration and the possibility of rehabilitation.
Besides the life sentences, the court imposed two separate terms of 10 years on Sharief under various sections pertaining to murder and arms act offences.
