ABVP wins 7 universities, BJD student wing takes 4 in Odisha polls after 8-year gap

The All India Students' Association (ABVP), the student wing of the BJP, won elections in seven universities across Odisha in the first student union polls held after an eight-year gap.
The BJD's student wing, BCJD, secured victories in four universities. The elections were conducted across the state's 13 universities, marking a significant resumption of student union electoral processes that had been suspended since the previous cycle.
The results reflect the competing influence of national and regional political organizations in Odisha's higher education institutions, with ABVP's performance underscoring the BJP-affiliated body's growing presence in student politics across the state.
