76 adult learners felicitated after completing literacy campaign in Nagaland

A total of 76 adult learners were felicitated on September 22 after successfully completing a three-month Adult Literacy Campaign at Pangti Village under RD Sanis Block in Wokha district. The programme covered basic literacy skills including writing names, recognising numbers, and learning mobile phone numbers through night school sessions.
Deputy Commissioner Wokha K. Mhathung Tsanglao said it was never too late to acquire education and urged learners to continue studying and share their knowledge with others. Senior SDEO Nchumbemo Jami noted the campaign exceeded expectations, with some learners who initially could not write their names now able to sign independently. He praised their enthusiasm and regular attendance.
The campaign was organised by Samyan Federation, Sanis Block, and Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission in collaboration with Wokha District Administration and other departments. Certificates were distributed to all learners.
