Advocate Feeds Monkeys Daily for 8 Years, Builds Own 'Vanar Sena' in Madhya Pradesh

Senior advocate and former government counsel Narendra Solanki has been feeding monkeys every day for nearly eight years in Mahidpur, Madhya Pradesh. What started as a spontaneous act in July 2018 when he spotted a troop near Gangawadi Fairground has grown into an unwavering daily commitment. He now feeds a troop of around 35 monkeys with rusks, biscuits, fruits, vegetables, rotis and chickpeas, spending Rs 300 to 400 daily.
Solanki views the monkeys as manifestations of Lord Hanuman and his Vanar Sena. The monkeys gather at Bheru Temple in Adinath Colony the moment he arrives, responding to names like Kapiraj, Vanraj and Maruti. Despite losing one hand in an accident, Solanki continues practising law, driving, and serving the monkeys with equal dedication. His compassion has inspired local residents to also feed monkeys, making his work a source of pride for Mahidpur.
