Airlines urge government to release pending ECLGS funds

The Federation of Indian Airlines has urged the government to unlock delayed Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) funds, citing mounting liquidity pressures on carriers. According to FIA, lenders are withholding balance disbursements to eligible airlines despite their qualification for the support.
The emergency credit facility, designed to assist aviation operators during financial stress, has seen partial fund releases. Airlines say the delayed disbursements are constraining their operational capacity and financial stability.
