Akhilesh Yadav Dismisses Rajbhar's Split Claims, Focuses on 2027 UP Elections

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav dismissed remarks by UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar about an imminent split in the SP, mocking his statements as baseless chatter. Responding to Rajbhar's claims of a "major political realignment," Yadav said, "Dana aur gana kab tak chalega yeh afsana" (how long will their 'benefits and songs' continue). SP MP Rajeev Rai also rejected the allegations, accusing Rajbhar of making purposeless statements.
With the 2027 UP assembly elections approaching, Yadav outlined the party's renewed focus on Gorakhpur, pledging to defeat the BJP in the region. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, he said the SP aims to reduce BJP's presence to zero in Gorakhpur through strengthened organisational efforts. Yadav also alleged the BJP government has shut numerous primary schools and weakened the education system in the region over its ten-year tenure.
