Allotment of NEET UG 2026 Seats Cancelled Following Allahabad High Court Order

Following the decision of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has immediately cancelled the previous seat allotment process for NEET UG 2026. This decision affects the admission process for medical and dental programmes.

Students who were allotted seats for MBBS and BDS on September 7 will now have to re-enter and finalise their choices. The first-round counselling process has begun afresh.

The new seat allotment has been announced to be released on September 22.
