Alongtaki Congress Committee seeks transparency in Mangkolemba multi-purpose hall project

The Alongtaki Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) has called for transparency and an impartial probe into the Mangkolemba multi-purpose hall, sanctioned under the Khelo India Scheme. ACCC president A Chuba Longkumer and general secretary Tinuakum said the public deserved details on the project's sanction, implementation, construction and utilisation given it involved public funds.
The committee stressed that such infrastructure projects should be implemented transparently and in public interest. It highlighted Mangkolemba's role as headquarters of three ranges—Jangpetkong, Japukong and Tsurangkong—noting the facility would serve a wider population. ACCC urged authorities to make project records publicly available, investigate alleged irregularities, and ensure the facility serves residents.
The party expressed support for local civil society organisations and residents demanding accountability, stating it would back "every legitimate and democratic effort" to bring transparency and facts to public light.
