Arunachal Pradesh Governor urges BSNL to strengthen telecom connectivity

Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik on Tuesday emphasized the importance of strengthening telecom connectivity across the state during a meeting with BSNL East-II circle chief at Lok Bhavan. The governor highlighted that reliable communication is essential for modern education, telemedicine, digital banking and economic development.
Parnaik noted that poor network connectivity in remote areas remains a significant concern raised by villagers, students, officials and entrepreneurs, affecting access to essential services and economic opportunities. The BSNL official briefed the governor on network installation progress and acknowledged difficulties faced by users, assuring priority action on pending issues.
The meeting decided that a coordination conference involving the state government, Armed Forces and BSNL will be held to address existing challenges. The governor also advised BSNL to maintain close coordination with district administrations while expanding optical fibre networks and telecom infrastructure.
