Attari-Wagah closure: What it means for India-Pakistan trade

The Attari-Wagah integrated land port, developed by the Land Ports Authority of India as the country's first such facility, spans 120 acres and connects directly to National Highway-1. The port has been instrumental in facilitating bilateral trade between India and Pakistan.
Beyond its role in India-Pakistan commerce, the facility also served as a critical transit corridor for trade with Afghanistan. The closure disrupts both direct bilateral trade flows and the broader regional trade network that relies on this route.
