Passenger vehicle dispatches surge 21.8% to 4.54 lakh units in September

Passenger vehicle dispatches in India climbed 21.8 per cent to 4.54 lakh units in September, according to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Two-wheeler sales registered similarly strong growth, rising 13.5 per cent to 24.63 lakh units last month compared with 21.70 lakh units in the same month last year.

The gains reflect sustained consumer demand across both segments of the automobile sector as the country enters the festive season, historically a period of higher purchase activity.
