AWHO challenges high court panel directive on Chanderkunj Army Towers possession in Kochi

The Armed Forces War Heroes Organisation (AWHO) has filed a petition in the high court challenging a directive from a DC Committee to take possession of apartments at Chanderkunj Army Towers in Kochi before demolition.
The DC Committee had ordered AWHO to assume possession of the residential units from their current owners as a precondition to the demolition process. However, AWHO has contested this directive, arguing that the towers and apartments are no longer under its ownership or possession.
The dispute centres on the status and control of the property, with AWHO claiming it no longer holds legal title or physical possession of the residential complex. The high court petition seeks to overturn or modify the committee's directive on the grounds that AWHO cannot comply with an order concerning property it does not own or control.
