Daily wage worker dies after falling from third floor of Basti school

A daily wage worker died after falling from the third floor of Jaipuria School in Basti, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Ved Prakash, had been working as a painter at the school for the past 15 days. He fell while carrying out painting work and landed on a wooden ramp before hitting the ground floor, an incident captured on CCTV.

Prakash was immediately rushed to a hospital following the fall. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The incident occurred within the Kalwari police station jurisdiction. Police are investigating the circumstances of the fall and whether adequate safety measures were in place during the work.
