Bengaluru shop owner killed by cousin over business dispute

A 50-year-old home appliances shop owner, Raju Singh, was murdered at his shop in Bengaluru's JP Nagar 7th Phase on Tuesday evening. His cousin Hari Singh, 41, assaulted him on the head and face between 7:20 pm and 7:45 pm. Raju died at the spot.
Hari, who had worked with Raju since 2006, was demanding financial help to open a separate shop. Raju had requested about a year to arrange the investment, leading to quarrels over the past three days. Hari allegedly went to the shop when Raju was alone, picked up an argument, and attacked him before fleeing. He informed the victim's daughter about the incident, who found Raju lying in a pool of blood with severe head and face injuries.
Hari Singh was arrested on Wednesday. Raju had resided in Bengaluru for nearly three decades.
