17 Schoolchildren Crammed Into Auto-Rickshaw in Bhiwandi, Viral Video Raises Safety Alarm

A viral video from Bhiwandi's Roshan Bagh area shows an auto-rickshaw packed with approximately 17 schoolchildren, far exceeding normal passenger capacity. The footage captures a man confronting the driver and asking children to exit the vehicle one by one, revealing the extent of overcrowding.

When questioned, the auto-rickshaw driver reportedly stated he usually transports around 15 students but had accommodated additional children that day due to extra demand for the journey. Local residents have raised serious concerns about enforcement of passenger limits and safety standards for school transport vehicles.

Following the video's circulation on social media, local police reportedly took action against the driver. The incident has highlighted gaps in monitoring of private school transport and safety compliance in the region.
