Bhopal Seminar Calls for Mass Movement Against Drug Abuse

A seminar organised by Free Press in Bhopal on Wednesday highlighted drug abuse as a major driver of crime affecting individuals, families and society. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, the chief guest, urged a mass movement against drugs comparable to the cleanliness campaign, warning that narcotics pose a threat to Indian culture and society.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Sarang stressed that government action alone cannot solve the addiction crisis, calling for collective participation and awareness among children and youth. Senior police officials and organisational leaders also attended the event aimed at recognising anti-drug initiatives and building a drug-free society.
