21-year-old shot dead by friend on moving motorcycle in Bhopal

A 21-year-old man identified as Ikhlas alias Tashi was shot dead by his friend on a motorcycle in Bhopal's Housing Board Colony area on Sunday morning. Tashi, a painter, was travelling with two friends to go fishing when one of them, Alim alias Allu, allegedly fired at him at close range while the bike was moving.

Following the shooting, the motorcycle lost control and fell. The accused then allegedly threatened the motorcycle rider with a pistol and forced him to continue towards Sindhi Colony before fleeing. The rider later reported the incident to Nishatpura police.

During investigation, police found that Tashi and Alim had a dispute over a woman approximately 15 days prior, during which Tashi suffered a hand fracture. Police are examining whether this earlier disagreement was connected to the shooting.
