Bhopal Customer Finds Dead Fly in ₹219 Sandwich, Seeks Action
A customer in Bhopal alleged she found a dead fly in a cheese sandwich purchased for ₹219 at Sharma Chinese Fast Food restaurant in Platinum Plaza on June 15. Shobha Ahirwar, a resident of Ashoka Garden, discovered the insect while eating and immediately informed the restaurant staff, whose response she described as dismissive.
Ahirwar subsequently filed a complaint with the food safety department, highlighting the incident as a serious public health concern. The department is scheduled to conduct a detailed inspection of the restaurant on Tuesday, examining cleanliness standards and food handling practices. Further action will be determined based on the inspection findings.
