Bhumi Pednekar Makes New York Fashion Week Runway Debut in Temple-Inspired Red Lehenga

Actress Bhumi Pednekar made her international runway debut at New York Fashion Week, closing Nazranaa's SS27 collection show in a striking red velvet lehenga. The design, called the Belur Math Lehenga, drew inspiration from the Shri Ramakrishna Temple at Belur Math and embodied the concept of universal faith, blending Hindu, Islamic and Christian architectural influences.
The lehenga featured intricate silver embroidery, floral and traditional motifs, and a swan emblem at its centre representing the Paramatman or Supreme Self. It was paired with a fitted matching blouse and a sheer red dupatta styled as a cape, adding a contemporary element to the traditional ensemble.
