Bihar Council polls emerge as NDA unity test as JD(U), RLM face internal dissent

Bihar's upcoming Council elections are testing the unity of the NDA alliance as the JD(U) and RLM face internal rebellion. JD(U) leader Lalan Singh attributed the rift between party members Anant Singh and Neeraj Kumar to past actions, comments made shortly after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met with him before Neeraj filed his nomination.

The development signals deepening fissures within the coalition partners ahead of the polls. Opposition ranks are similarly fractured, compounding the political uncertainty in the state.
