Biker blocks NICE toll plaza for hours, claims high court exemption from toll payment

A sports bike rider was booked by Electronics City police for blocking a lane at the NICE Toll Plaza for nearly four hours on September 15. Akshay Reddy claimed he had a high court order exempting him from toll payment and refused to pay when asked by staff. When toll officials insisted, Reddy parked his motorcycle across the lane and began persuading other riders to refuse payment as well.
Tensions escalated when security personnel intervened. Reddy allegedly abused toll staff and resisted their attempts to clear the lane. He eventually left after police arrived, though he recorded the incident on his phone. Police registered an FIR against Reddy under charges of criminal intimidation and intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace. A notice has been issued to him to appear before police, and CCTV footage has been obtained.
