Bitcoin outpaces Ethereum and Solana over five-year period

Bitcoin has significantly outperformed rival cryptocurrencies Ethereum and Solana over the past five years, gaining 61.7% compared to declines of 26.2% and 27.9% respectively.

Analysts attribute Bitcoin's stronger performance to institutional adoption, exchange-traded fund inflows, superior liquidity and perceived scarcity. In contrast, Ethereum and Solana remain more susceptible to fluctuations driven by network activity and broader cryptocurrency market narratives.
