BJP expels 42 rebels ahead of Rajasthan civic polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled 42 members ahead of the first phase of Rajasthan civic polls. Among those expelled is Dharmendra Gehlot, former mayor of Ajmer, whose wife is contesting the election as an independent candidate.

The expulsions are aimed at disciplining party workers who have not adhered to party directives or are contesting against official BJP nominees in the municipal elections.
