Former BJP Finance Minister Alleges Corruption Among Leaders, Officers, Corporators

Former Madhya Pradesh finance minister and BJP leader Jayant Malaiya alleged that leaders, officers, corporators and Nagar Palika officials are extracting money from poor people while neglecting their duties. He made the remarks during a Damoh Nagar Palika meeting chaired by the collector on Wednesday, comparing poor citizens to sugarcane crushed for juice.
Malaiya clarified his criticism was not directed at the party or state government, but aimed to highlight corrupt practices. He stated he had filed complaints with Urban Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and the additional chief secretary, demanding investigations.
His remarks, which went viral on social media, have energized opposition parties seeking to build pressure on the government over alleged corruption.
