BJP leads in Rajasthan urban local body elections

The BJP has emerged ahead of the Congress in Rajasthan's urban local body elections, winning 4,179 wards compared to the opposition party's 3,613 seats. The saffron party secured clear majorities in four of the ten municipal corporations contested in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on the results, characterising the outcome as a "victory of truth over echo of falsehood." The election results reflect voter preference across Rajasthan's urban centres.
