CBI Seeks Extended Custody for Accused in Twisha Sharma Death Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has requested a court in Bhopal to extend the judicial custody of Samarth Singh and his mother, retired judge Giribala Singh, till June 30 in connection with the Twisha Sharma death case. The CBI did not seek police remand at the current stage, only filing an application for custody extension during Tuesday's hearing.
Both accused appeared before the court via video conferencing while in judicial custody. The CBI informed the court that it is still awaiting the second post-mortem report, which the agency described as important for the ongoing investigation. According to sources, the second autopsy report was submitted in a sealed envelope on June 10 and included findings related to pregnancy, abortion, and circumstances of death.
