IATA urges transparency as Mumbai airport flight reduction plan is put on hold

The International Air Transport Association has urged transparency in the decision-making process following the Civil Aviation Ministry's decision to put on hold a proposal by Mumbai airport to reduce one-third of all international flights from October 26.
The aviation regulator's move to stall the airport operator's plan came after consultations with stakeholders. IATA's statement emphasised the need for clear communication regarding the rationale and timeline for any such operational changes.
