Centre Urges Kerala to Decide on PM SHRI Scheme Implementation

The Union education ministry has written to Kerala's chief secretary urging the state to take an early decision on implementing the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) scheme. The letter was received two days ago, according to state officials.

Kerala's education minister Samsudheen said the government would discuss the matter before making a final decision on whether to participate in the scheme, which aims to develop selected schools across the country as models of excellence.
