Chhattisgarh makes Hindu prayers mandatory in state schools; Congress slams RSS agenda

Chhattisgarh has made Hindu prayers mandatory in state schools' morning assemblies. The new directive requires students to recite the national anthem, national song, Deep Mantra, Saraswati Vandana, and Guru Mantra during daily assembly.
The Congress party has criticized the move, alleging the state government is imposing a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh agenda in educational institutions. The opposition party contends the mandate amounts to enforcing religious observances in secular public schools.
