CJP flags teacher shortage, sanitation issues in Karnataka schools
A delegation led by the Chief Justice of India visited schools in Karnataka and identified significant gaps in teacher deployment due to Special Investigation Report (SIR) duties, as well as sanitation concerns.
The findings were presented during a meeting with Karnataka Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa. The CJI highlighted how administrative duties assigned to teachers were impacting regular classroom instruction and overall school functioning.
The visit underscores ongoing challenges in school infrastructure and resource allocation in the state.
