Class 12 Student Dies in Hostel After Exam Removal Over Cheating Slip in MP

A Class XII student at Eklavya Model Residential School in Sailana, Madhya Pradesh, died under suspicious circumstances in the hostel on Tuesday after being removed from an examination. The student, identified as Varsha from Dewas district, was found by roommates in a suspicious state after a duty teacher discovered an alleged cheating slip in her pocket during the exam and removed her from the test around 11.30 am.

Following the incident, school principal Narendra Gangwal was removed with immediate effect. Officials conducted an inspection of the scene, and the body was sent to Ratlam Medical College for post-mortem examination. Questions were raised over student supervision and hostel arrangements, with the tehsildar reprimanding staff for their conduct. The incident sparked uproar on campus and among students.
