Coimbatore Police Launch Student Safety Initiative with Liaison Officers

Coimbatore city police have rolled out a student safety programme involving dedicated Police Liaison Officers who will work with college management. These officers will monitor student concerns including drug use and peddling, identify disputes and group conflicts stemming from social media, and report significant changes in attendance or suspicious activities.

The initiative aims to strengthen support systems for students and provide assistance to families of victims affected by crime. By maintaining regular contact with college administrations, the liaison officers will serve as a bridge between law enforcement and educational institutions to address emerging student welfare issues.
