Commerce Ministry sets up FTA utilisation cell to maximise trade agreement benefits

The Commerce Ministry has established a dedicated FTA utilisation cell to ensure India derives maximum benefit from its Free Trade Agreements, according to the Commerce Secretary.

The move comes as the ministry seeks to demonstrate that recent FTAs signed with complementary economies translate into tangible improvements in trade performance. The cell will focus on converting the potential of these agreements into actual measurable outcomes.
