MCD demolishes 34 structures, seals 17 after building collapse kills 7
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has demolished 34 structures and sealed 17 properties following a building collapse that killed seven occupants. The civic body is now conducting a comprehensive assessment of paying guest accommodations across the city to identify structural safety concerns.
As part of the survey drive, over 1,200 PG buildings are being evaluated for potential vulnerabilities and required repairs. The MCD aims to complete this critical inspection by September 10.
