Congress MLA Alleges Sexual Assault of Women's Bodies at Rewa Hospital Morgue

Congress MLA Abhay Mishra from Semariya alleged on Tuesday that bodies of women were sexually assaulted during post-mortem examinations at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. He made the claim while addressing a Congress protest at Jaistambh Square over alleged irregularities and negligence at the facility.

Mishra claimed that family members are asked to leave when women's bodies are taken for post-mortem, after which the bodies are allegedly assaulted. He also alleged that money was collected from families of the deceased under the guise of post-mortem procedure costs.

The allegations emerge amid ongoing controversies at the hospital, which reportedly receives between three and ten bodies daily for post-mortem examination.
