Congress names observers for Rajya Sabha polls in Jharkhand as JMM hardens stance

Congress has appointed observers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand, as the alliance partner JMM takes a firmer stance on seat allocation.

JMM party legislators have indicated that a final decision on contesting both available seats will be announced soon. The JMM president has been authorised to finalise the names of candidates for the elections.

The move signals intensifying negotiations between the two parties over representation in the Upper House from the state.
