Cybercrimes against children double in Telangana in 2024

Telangana has registered a significant surge in cybercrimes targeting children, with cases doubling to 72 in 2024 compared to 36 in 2023. The spike underscores growing concerns about child safety in the digital sphere across the state.
The rise reflects either increased criminal activity or improved reporting and detection mechanisms by authorities. Law enforcement agencies are focusing on combating online exploitation and abuse of minors through specialized cybercrime units.
