Delhi police may arrest me tonight or tomorrow morning, claims Abhijit Deepak

Activist and Citizens for Justice Party (CJI) founder Abhijit Deepak claimed late on October 15 that Delhi police could arrest him. Speaking before a planned 'Lehraa Do Tiranga' (Wave the Tricolour) protest at Central Park in Connaught Place, Deepak alleged that police and intelligence personnel were surrounding him from all sides.
Deepak criticised the government for shutting down Delhi, blocking internet, and erecting barricades. He demanded accountability and called for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing him of disregarding Supreme Court directives. Deepak questioned why the government would cancel protests if citizens wished to hoist the national flag.
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) ordered Central Park closed to the public on October 16-17 on administrative grounds. Delhi police invoked Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) to maintain law and order. Deepak challenged the government, asking how many locations it would seal if protests were held across 1,000 sites. The Delhi High Court earlier declined to ban the protest at Central Park.
