Delhi declares three dry days in 2026 for Gandhi Jayanti, Diwali, Guru Nanak Jayanti

Delhi has announced three dry days in 2026 when liquor shops will remain shut across the capital. The ban will be enforced on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti), November 8 (Diwali), and November 24 (Guru Nanak Jayanti).

During dry days, the sale and consumption of alcohol are prohibited as part of regulatory and cultural observances on significant national and religious occasions.
