Delhi High Court orders overhaul of government hospital management

The Delhi High Court's division bench issued an order on 18 September directing a comprehensive overhaul of government hospital management in the capital. The bench identified critical administrative failures including unattended emergency helplines and chronic executive vacancies.
The court found that Delhi government hospitals are experiencing approximately 500 daily call drops and significant delays in patient transfers. These systemic issues have directly impacted emergency response and patient care delivery across the hospital network.
