Delhi to deploy intelligent traffic management system with 2,500 cameras

Delhi is set to launch an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) designed to enhance road safety and traffic flow across the capital. The system will utilise over 2,500 cameras to monitor city roads and alert traffic police in real time about incidents.
The ITMS will detect stolen vehicles, accidents, traffic congestion, and slow-moving stretches, enabling quicker response from law enforcement. The initiative aims to reduce traffic bottlenecks and improve emergency response times on Delhi's busy roads.
