Delhi Police denies jammer claims at Satya Niketan collapse site

A five-storey building housing a boys' hostel collapsed in Delhi's Satya Niketan area on September 6, 2026, killing seven people and injuring dozens. Delhi Police initiated rescue operations immediately and arrested the building owner.
The Aam Aadmi Party and opposition figures alleged that the government installed signal jammers at the site to prevent media coverage and social reporting. AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed jammers were deployed before rescue efforts began, citing a YouTuber's video and accusing authorities of a cover-up. Similar claims circulated on social media platforms.
Delhi Police has now rejected these allegations, stating no jammers were installed at the collapse site. The force said rescue and relief operations proceeded normally without any obstruction to communications.
