Delhi Police appeals to citizens ahead of CJP October 10 protest

Delhi Police has released an open letter to citizens ahead of the Confederation of Indian Professors' planned protest on October 10, amid escalating tensions in the national capital. The letter, titled 'Uniform ke peeche bhi insaan hai' (There is a human behind the uniform), seeks to humanise the police force and appeal for public understanding.

The move comes after Delhi Police denied permission for the CJP's demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The denial has sparked controversy, with tensions building over the planned stir in the capital.

The letter represents an attempt by the police to communicate directly with citizens and present their perspective during a period of heightened civic unrest over the cancelled protest.
