DGCA probes Air India flight diversion after false hijack alert

An Air India plane travelling from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday after a hijack alert was raised. The alert later proved to be false, and the aircraft resumed its journey to the capital after undergoing security checks.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated a probe into the incident. Officials stated they will await the final investigation report before drawing conclusions about the diversion and the circumstances that led to the false alarm.
The flight was cleared to proceed to its original destination following standard security protocols and verification procedures.
