Girls' Hostel Warden Removed in Madhya Pradesh After Harassment Complaints

Collector Rajiv Ranjan Meena has removed Anita Bhide, warden of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Hostel in Dahi, Dhar district, following complaints of harassment and management irregularities. Her government accommodation has been vacated with immediate effect. Bhide's husband, Sardar Singh Piplaj, a guest teacher, was also terminated for his involvement and indiscipline.
The action came after hostel girls raised concerns publicly about their situation. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav directed disciplinary proceedings and emphasized that safety, mental health and infrastructure quality in government hostels are priorities. A district inspection found some girls alleged the warden made them perform household work, though others reported no issues.
Primary school teacher Leela Oharia has been assigned as acting superintendent. The administration plans regular arrangements following the incident.
