Dimapur Chamber praises police crackdown on extortionists

The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has commended the police commissioner for arresting extortionists and anti-social elements causing unrest in the district. The chamber expressed confidence that law enforcement would maintain its efforts to ensure peace and security.

DCCI noted that business activities have been disrupted due to recent disturbances and called on authorities to support normal commercial operations. The chamber demanded strict action against all persons involved in unlawful activities, emphasizing that no one is above the law.

Extending full cooperation to law enforcement, DCCI requested heightened vigilance during the approaching festive season when law-and-order challenges typically intensify. It appealed to anti-social elements to cease disruptive activities and help build a safer, more prosperous Dimapur.
