Congress leader Abhijeet Dipke confronted by journalists in Balaghat over death-linked visit

A video circulating on social media shows Congress leader Abhijeet Dipke being questioned by local journalists during his visit to Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh. The journalists challenged claims being made about the situation and questioned the narrative being presented on the ground.
In the video, Dipke appears unable to provide clear answers to several questions. A journalist is heard asking whether he came to engage in politics over deaths, to which Dipke responds by apologising. The journalists continued questioning him on the matter.
Over 1,000 children have reportedly recovered after receiving medical treatment and support in the district. Balaghat, which faced Naxalism for decades, was declared Naxal-free in 2025 following security operations. In some remote areas, people have relied on traditional practices rather than seeking proper medical care.
