Djokovic knocked out of Shanghai Masters by Hurkacz

Novak Djokovic was eliminated from the Shanghai Masters 2026 on Friday after losing to Hubert Hurkacz. The result ended Djokovic's impressive head-to-head record against the 29-year-old Polish player, who had never defeated him before in eight prior meetings.

Djokovic's loss came in the second round of the tournament. The Serbian champion last won the Shanghai title in 2018 and has been seeking to add to his tally at the prestigious event.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Taylor Shelton and Alexander Zverev advanced to the third round with their respective victories.
