Doctor Assaulted at Alot Civil Hospital; Staff Suspend Services in Protest

A Block medical officer was allegedly assaulted by a group of individuals at Alot Civil Hospital in Madhya Pradesh late Monday night. Dr Devendra Maurya lost consciousness during the attack after being summoned to the hospital when a dispute broke out. Alot police registered a case and are examining CCTV footage.

In response to the incident, hospital staff suspended services on Tuesday and demanded strict action against the accused and permanent security arrangements. Healthcare workers expressed concern over repeated violence affecting hospital operations and patient care.
