Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts sidelined with superficial blood clot

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss Sunday's home game against the Carolina Panthers. The decision comes after Hurts was found to have a superficial blood clot.

Tanner McKee is expected to serve as the backup quarterback in Hurts's absence for the matchup. The Eagles have not provided a timeline for Hurts's return to action.

The Panthers visit Philadelphia for the Week 7 contest as the Eagles continue their season.
